Alison Croney Moses

Alison Croney Moses (b. 1983) is a Boston-based artist primarily working in wood, exploring themes of family, relationship, pregnancy, childbirth, safety, and care. Her work investigates the ‘private’ and ‘personal’ of life experiences that often encourages isolation and deterioration and in turn her work sparks dialogue, building community and creating spaces of processing through care and repair. 

Her work is in the collections around the United States including Detroit Institute of the Arts, Museum of Fine Arts Boston and the Rose Art Museums. She is a recipient of the 2022 USA Fellowship in Craft, 2023 Boston Artadia Award, 2024 Black Mountain College International Artist Prize. She was a finalist of the 2024 LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize and the recent recipient of the 2025 Rappaport Prize and the 2025 Brother Thomas Fellowship. Alison has her first institutional show through the  2025 James and Audrey Foster Prize at the ICA Boston and her first public art piece called “This Moment for Joy” was exhibited through the inaugural 2025 Boston Public Art Triennial. Alison holds an MA in Sustainable Business & Communities from Goddard College, and a BFA in Furniture Design from Rhode Island School of Design.
