Aina Sullivan

APRIL 4 - APRIL 29, 2022

Aina Sullivan is 28-year-old Black and Indigenous non-binary Woman who was born in Memphis Tennessee, raised in New Jersey, and is currently based in southern New Hampshire. Sullivan has been exploring various styles of jewelry-making and multi-media art for over ten years. Black Stone Alchemy is a collection of handcrafted wire-wrapped, natural gemstone jewelry. Sullivan started this business to engage with and create ethical and accessible self care products. Their work as a jeweler ranges from minimalist copper jewelry, such as earrings, rings, and necklaces, to textured geometric talismans. As an artist with intersecting identities, Sullivan finds it important to bring her diverse perspective to the artist entrepreneurial community. Tying into their Afro Indigenous roots, Sullivan works with raw copper due to the ancestral healing and energy balancing properties that it is known to hold.
