COVID-19 Policies & Guidelines

Indigo Arts Alliance values the care and safety of our local and global community. The wellness of our artists, supporters, and allies is deeply important while recovering from a global pandemic. We at Indigo understand that crises surrounding health, access, and security hit our black and brown community the hardest. It is deeply important that we care for the wellbeing of ourselves and our community during this time.

Vaccination Requirement

As of May 1st, 2023, Indigo Arts Alliance is no longer requiring all residential program participants to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccination.

Health Screening Protocol

We ask that you consider taking a precautionary test for COVID-19 before arriving for your residency. Should you exhibit COVID-19 symptoms while at Indigo Arts Alliance, we will require you take a rapid test, and if it comes back positive you will be asked to self-quarantine for 5 days if asymptomatic (or if your symptoms are resolving) and remain fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, followed by 5 days of required masking around others to minimize the risk of infection.

Masking and Face Coverings

Masking indoors will be at the discretion of individual participants. Given the changing advice around COVID-19, our policies are subject to change.

Facility Protocols

Each resident will be assigned their own private living space, and will be working in communal or semi-private studio spaces.

Residents are allowed to have visitors within their living/studio space. Visitors must adhere to all guidelines laid out in this document.

Indigo highly encourages residents to travel in a personal vehicle, bike, or walk to their destinations once here. If a resident does not have a car, staff can assist with errands and supplies when necessary.

In Indigo’s private living accommodations, there is a private kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and backyard patio that the resident’s are for your use. We urge the number and frequency of guests to remain minimal in these spaces. We trust the judgement of our chosen residents to facilitate safe and considerate visitation with any guests.

Cleaning Protocol

Our cleaning service will clean and sanitize bedrooms, bathrooms and studio spaces and allow the rooms to sit empty for four days between residents.

If you are not feeling well, please stay home!

If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, or believe you are at an elevated risk of exposure, please stay home.
