Kibibi Ajanku

June 3rd - July 1st, 2025

Kibibi Ajanku is a fiber artist who believes that when presented properly, art is the perfect vehicle to move forward into greater intercultural awareness for the global community. She is an Indigo Artist with a deep interest in West African Dye traditions and indigenous folkways. Ajanku is a self-taught visual artist who has expanded her artistic journey through the lens of her work in indigo. Ajanku’s textile work often shows up as mixed media pieces that embody a broad skill base and cover techniques to include, but not limited to fabric and paper collage, art quilts, soft sculpture, and print making. This effort has required the acquisition of information, materials, supplies, artifacts, and details from indigenous locations in West Africa, South Africa, the Caribbean, and certain American villages.
