Liz RhaneyJune 6 - June 30, 2022
Liz Rhaney creates multisensory forms of storytelling and archivism with video and installations. She uses light and sound to sculpt a space into an experience shared by the audience. Her videos form an archive of moments, communities, and ideas. The care she puts into archiving the communities around her reflects the value she sees in those communities. She obtained her BFA from Armstrong State University (now Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern University) with a focus in Graphic Design. She obtained her MFA from Maine College of Art and Design with a focus in video and installation. She also has an extensive background in drumming and percussion. Her practice combines her experience in all of these fields. Originally from Savannah, GA, she now lives in Portland, Maine.
