SIGNATURESOUL

SIGNATURESOUL is a fusion of rhythm + rhyme + reason + resonance. Made up of the eclectic duo: Marco Soulo & Signature MiMi – together, they are on a mission to raise the collective consciousness one soul at a time.. 

MiMi (she/siya/they) is an intuitive arts practitioner, spoken word artist, songwriter and currently the 8th Poet Laureate of Portland, ME. Marco (he/him/his) is a lyricist, beat maker, music producer, DJ, hip hop head and underground ambassador (iykyk).

Marco and MiMi are currently living, learning and loving serendipitously on sacred Wabanaki Land. Across Turtle Island–they have been featured on numerous stages, taught workshops for all ages, and mentored youngers and elders through different phases. Their creations honor their mixed lineages and heritages and also reflect their experiences in the diaspora. 

In 2013, they started the Creative Expression Initiative and since then continue to offer a variety of reoccurring spaces and evolving tools for people to explore creativity and experiment with the power of v.o.i.c.e. (vibrations oscillating inner conscious energy) in authentic, organic, and collaborative ways. 

MiMi and Marco are adventurous artrepreneurs, multi-passionates, and community cultivators. They intentionally weave their complimentary skills, interests, and expertise across diverse mediums and movements. They curate wellness and recreational spaces for People of the Global Majority; host a monthly “open mic” called Creatives Gathering; and often share community practices for deepening gratitude and honoring grief.
